I am Amity Pope and I am currently teaching eighth graders Algebra Data Analysis within the Special Education Department of Charles Carroll Middle School. Approaching my decade year in the profession, I will complete my Masters in Education, specializing in Teacher Leadership in July 2010. I am excited about the opportunity to bring technology to the classroom as a result of the STEP Program and am looking forward to collaborating with my colleagues on the various ways to infuse technology into their classrooms as well.
As a participant in theSTEP Program I plan to achieve the following goals:
1. Engage my students by infusing the use of the new technology in my classroom and outside of the classroom.
2. Create professional development sessions to provide support for my colleagues in finding varying approaches to infuse the new technology into their classrooms and outside of their classrooms.
3. Empower interested members of the school community to use technology appropriately in an effort to deepen and broaden varying approaches to assisting learners in school and outside of school.
